for the people running there BOV uncirculated. do u have a diffrent other then a stock maf or do u need a safc to uncirculate it? im asking this because i tryed to with my greddy type s and i dont have a safc or a diffrent maf other then my stock redtop sr maf. it runs ok but at idle the car just dies. so i have to recirculate it. any tips or what to do so i can run this uncirculated?

you dont need a SAFC to run open atm.

Make sure your BOV isnt leaking... you might have to adjust it so it's tighter... so it doesnt leak during idle.

i think its all on what kind of BOV you run. ive head people running the HKS SSQV and SQV perfectly fine. I used the Greddy RS before i had the ECU tuned and never had a problem.

bump your idle to around 900 and you wont have any problems with an unrecirculated bov.

I've got the Tial 50mm and it stumbles sometimes if the revs are high and I pop it into neutral. Other than that I have no idling problems with it and it sounds very nice.

greddy type s tends to leak. if you rev it and let go and the rpms just die out on you, then its probably leaking. it won't run properly until you buy another one.

had it on a friends evo 8 and it kept crapping out unless you blip the accelerator right before the rpms drop to low. after we got a new one, it ran like a charm.

my idle is dead at 900 and i still had the car die when i went open atmosphere.

correct my terminoligy...but i think the diaphram style bovs(ex greddy, hks ssqv, and cheap ones from ebay) can if the are adjusted right work open atmosphere. the piston style, (turbo xs, tial, turbosmart) wont work because they dump too much air.

I would check the most common thing - try tightening the valve a bit. That was a problem I had with my car ever since I bought it. It had a aPexi BOV at first, then I switched to a TurboXS, and finally to a HKS Racing ByPass Valve. With all three the spring was too loose and ran like crap, stalling, until I tightened it up a bit. Amazing what a few turns of the screw/bolt can do.

Well good luck with your issue. Hopefully that's the problem - it's an easy fixer!
