ok i got ka24e with 207k kms on it, it stolled and will not startwhen checked there is fuel, air and spark the starter is spinning the engine. So everything is there but no start. The only wierd thing i noticed is when cranking the rpm needle doesn't move but you can see that engine is spinning at regular starting speed.

Try pressing the gas while starting. Thats what I had to do. I also ran fuel injector cleaner through.

speaking of cleaners i ran some restore engine additive and fuel system cleaner, before i was burning mad oil when i first got it but its made a huge difference for only a couple bux, its not permanent but i just put it in to tide me over until i rebuild the engine which should be in a few months hopefully

There was a post a while back, someone said that they used this SEAFOAM engine cleaner and it made a very noticible difference, use the search button and try and find it.

Just curious is your intake boot torn? I know that made my car Idle around 600 rpms. I know that this prob. isn't the case as you advanced the timing so much, but can't hurt to check.

chekc your lil connector going into the top of you MAF too. I never had mine secured after doing a timing belt and it did as you described.

it was plugged in but not quite snapped into place.
