I cant remember an occasion where another driver flipped me off. Maybe cause Ive lived in cities like DC and Atlanta or I just dont look for that kinda thing. I did show a bird to a guy who rode in the left lane and my blind spot. When I sped up and passed a car in front of me, he sped up too, then started honking and tailgating like I had just cut him off.skydragoness wrote:All i got to say is (and this is probably an assumption) is that these stupid east-coast people wouldn't be flipping people off if this was L.A. Unless they want to get shot or something.
you just mentioned big cities, when i have been to philly there's no hand gestures, at least not like around here (DE). i think its because of the fact that they haven't been taught a lesson for their stupidity at one time or another so they think they're unstoppable.IWannaS15 wrote:I cant remember an occasion where another driver flipped me off. But I'm usually a friendlier driver...
Loveless, don't ever come to Phoenix. Because I WILL park in "your" spot.Loveless wrote:I flip people off almost on a daily basis
if you wait for a parking, someone might just cut you off and park in the spot you were waiting for. I had to kick someone's door last time when it happened, to teach that person a lesson.
it's common courtesy to actually allow a person, who is waiting for a spot, park due to the common norm of "first come first serve"AZhitman wrote:Loveless, don't ever come to Phoenix. Because I WILL park in "your" spot.
I ever see someone kicking someone else's car, they're gargling teeth. Plain and simple.
The problem with the pebble idea is that, hours later, their tires will be flat and they won't know why. Punishment is a bad way to teach a lesson unless you can attach the punishment to the behavior. The effect must be linked to the cause or else no logical continuity exists, and the lesson will not be learned. In layman's terms, pebbling valve stems won't reinforce ethics.bcar240 wrote:I remember Loveless' story on that, it would piss anyone off. I probably wouldn't kick someone's door personally, I am just afraid to get caught on a security cam or something. But that is what small pebbles in the tire caps are for. Sad fact, more and more people need to experience the consequeces of doing something wrong to convince them to do it the right way, principles and ethics arn't enough anymore.
I would tend to agree.AZhitman wrote:Don't go kicking people's cars, dude. That's chickensh!t.
If you have a problem with them, say it to their face.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!~PaulSheraton wrote:One time, I completely on accident cut off some lady because she was in my blindspot and sped up when I tried to merge...
This crazy lady followed me for ten+ miles in the opposite direction... I mean we were even stopped at a red together and she was yelling (from behind me), "I have a child in my car!" and "I'm calling the cops!" to which my reply was, "You're really setting a bad example for your child!" and "This is called road rage!" Then I whipped a 180 and lost her..
Edit: Oh and yes, she flipped me off plenty of times....right in front of her child...what a crazy lady

I know the feeling, I use to make local deliveries and the cars that cut you off. I use to carry liquid totes that weighed about 2200lbs each. With about 16 totes loaded on the truck, it doesn't stop on a dime. I had one person pull out at the last minute and stop in the middle of the road, not looking. I ended up taking off the trunk of the car. I barely got my foot on the brake, there was no time to react. Not my fault on the accident report and I still got fired.Bandit240 wrote:I see this kind of **** everyday. I ride on an 18 wheeler all day long and it amazes me as to how many small cars think they can crowd a huge *** truck over. A few weeks ago we had to make a right hand turn out of a parking lot with a 50ish' lowboy. Had out strobe light with right hand blinker on, but sorta in the middle of the driveway. Some little russian prick in a Honda figure he would cut around on the right side(blind side). Well now he needs a new fender, bumber and rim. He got lucky since he hit the horn, otherwise those tires would have went right over his ***.
