Well I was coming home from my Honda interview and it got bad near Cleveland, so I pulled over so I could slow down to put it in 4wd. I'm going in the fast lane cause the Taco is a beast in 4wd. I see this guy next to me start to fishtale and I'm just like oh shiat. I gassed it and see him start to fishtale even more and then i look over my shoulder and see him spin. He was about 6-12in from my back end. It would not have been pretty if he hit me, because it would have put me sideways and who knows if it would have flipped or not. Damn drivers.

yeah, what i hate the most is people that think that they have a SUV, so they can go 10mph over the speed limit even when it snows. They just P I S Ses me off because they have 4 tires touching the ground and so do I. Four Wheel Drive does help alot but just beacuse you have that doesnt mean snow doesnt apply to you. and if they gas it enough around a corner they are still gonna go into the ditch just like the rest of us but they thing they are better than everyone else because they have a SUV. You dont know how many SUV's I've seen cause wrecks around here when it snows.

now i know there are a lot of good drivers around there too but its just the bad SUV drivers that make me mad

yeah, you got to watch out for people these days... it gets crazy sometimes, thats a good reminder for me to be carefule because its going to start here pretty soon and you never know what will happen.... atleast you got 4wd . If the weatherman even calls for snow and im at work ill be gone in 5 minutes, because the 240 just likes to spin. Oh yeah...good luck on the honda thing

Its pretty bad here too. I had a guy drift into my lane and almost take the side of my car off today coming home. I also have no tread left on any of my 4 tires. I'm going Thursday or Fridan to get new tires.

Whenever the weather starts getting bad people cant drive for ****. Whether its raining or snowing. Its like they've never seen or driven in bad weather. Everyone needs to learn how to slow down and take their time.

BTW, good thing he didnt hit you, that would've been ugly. You got lucky

i try not to drive when it snows just because i would flip the **** out if someone hit me cuz they're an idiot...i've never lost control in the snow, well not to the point that i have spun out...and i used to drive for fun in the snow before my insurance started getting hairy (issues w/ an accident and tickets)

Just got home from work, Cleveland is a mess, we got quite a bit of snow. And yes, people drive like hell and need to slow down and take their time.

i remember people last winter going off the road left and right by me, Brett probably can remember the two people that went off a highway overpass and plunged to the streets below, both driving suvs, both excessive speeding

Either too cocky (Hummer owners) or too timid (Honda owners). Damn snow...

How was the interview?

You sir, are awesome.

It doesn't freakin' matter how awesome or "beast" people think their Man Van or Truck is, they will not be able to stop any better than the little cars that they're flying by. Darwin's Law is nice and all, except when they take others along for the ride...

i bank on the fact that people cant drive in the snow.

i havent been around lately because im driving a tow truck again untill the spring comes. once it starts snowing, the roads are like a damned ATM machine. $50 to get you out of that ditch.

We got a pretty heavy snow here last night. On my way to school, I slowly rolled through a stop sign, gave it a little gas, and nothing. She just wanted to turn slowely to the left.... I've gotta find a new way when it ices here just because of that one hill and stop.

Damn.

two words:

snow tires

get some. I plan to very soon. And since my teardrop alloys are bent and a new set of rims are coming in the mail, i'll have extra rims to mount some Blizzak's on.all vehicles, whether fwd,4wd,awd, rwd, can benefit from better shoes in the winter.i mean, you wouldn't walk outside your house in tennis shoes if it snowed. SUV owners are the worst, they think they're invincible. AWD or 4WD mean nothing if you don't have any traction and crappy tires.

Tires are for chumps. M1 Abrams all the way for winter driving. Not only will you break through the snow and nice, you might even go through the street, so you're garunteed traction. Plus it's not like anybody rearending you is going to matter.

Do you mean the spike studded tires? I wonder if they even make them in a low enough profile to fit my wheels??? 215/40/17... maybe I'll check it out. Depends on the price though.

Studded tires are illegal to use on the roads in some areas. Like in Cleveland you can't have them.

I dont know if they're illegal here or not, but cops wouldn't care anyways. So is this what you're all talking about?
