this product was discussed on zilvia.net and freshalloy.com : Is it safe for our trannies?? Some fluilds have additives that accelerate the wear of brass components in the synchros. My transmission needs a fluid change and I was looking into what fluids would be good to use. So far Motul and Redline seems to be people's favorite.

Well, it does say that it has "Excellent yellow metal compatibility", which would lead one to believe that it would be OK for our brass synchros.

I know a lot of people are using this, but I'd be curious to see what one of our resident oil gurus thinks of it.

Yes it does...I guess it wouldnt hurt to try it, in that case. I've heard good things about it from mr2 owners. The viscosity is about SAE80, according to that pdf file, so I guess it's appropriate for our trannies. thanks mojo! anyone else have an opinion??

To add to the controversy...

I'd almost say go with Redline, but I've heard that it's really crappy on cold days. Hell, I can barely shift into 2nd gear during the dead of winter...I don't know what other alternatives there could be for high quality gear oil. Royal Purple, maybe?
