Pending code, will not erase??

I had cleared the codes on my 97 nissan 240, stock ka. The code is for the egr vent circuit, and is the only one still pending. The thing that has me wondering, is its been 150 miles since the code was cleared and pending and still no CEL. Why is it taking so long to clear? Any help would be great.....I need to drive this car!! Prethanks, Nico

its still a soft code but will still pass emissions. It will run drive cycle tests to make sure its working. If it wasnt fixed and just erased, the light will come back on
