I am buying a 240sx coupe, 5 speed with 82k miles for 1300 dollars. One problem it has is the pedal goes to the floor. I cant test drive it yet really, because of this problem. Think I am looking at a new brake booster, or master cylinder, and if so, how much should these items cost?

thanx

That's extremely odd dude. You might want to stay away from the car if it has that problem.

Yeah but I think it can be fixed, if its just a master cylinder.

that problem could only be so bad. worst case scenario would be a busted soft or hard line, but thats highly unlikely

Check the brake fluid, Does it leak ? Bleed the lines and see if that works, its better to spend 3 bucks on brake fluid, and waste it, that is better than spending 1300 on a misterious problem...Are there any other problems, check it over well...Dont buy a money pit. Make sure to look the lines over very well. Good luck.
