Hello,

I've got an unusual yet well-defined headlight problem on my '92 240SX conv, and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction so I can fix it. Here are the symptoms:

- The normal headlights typically don't come on - High beams work fine- After leaving the regular headlight switch on for anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, the regular headlights eventually come on (sometimes I'll drive with my brights on and when I turn them off, I can see a reflection from the regular headlights; other times, I might drive in a light rain and suddenly I can see the reflection of my headlights on the car in front of me)- The problem has gradually worsened...at first the headlights would occasionally go out while driving at night--very unsafe- The headlight motors do work...sometimes I have to fiddle with the switch (probably dirty contacts), but in general they go up and down.- I suspected the headlight timer was the problem, but replacing it did not change the symptoms

Any suggestions?

Thanks,David

Its probably the headlight switch but replace the bulbs to be sure.
