Hello, Does anyone know of a paint color made for Nissan or another manufacturer that makes a paint color like the 1994-1996 Pearl White on the Q45. I am trying to find a good match to avoid paying the high cost of the Q45 Pearl White color. Any help or ideas would be aprreciated. They are quoting me $750 a gallon for pearl white. WOW ?!!!

Some auto paint stores have a color reader that they can hold next to paint to get a reading for mixing. Have you talked to a Sherwin-Williams or DuPont auto paint store?

I know Ford makes one, because I was noticing a bad respray on an early 2000's Explorer a couple of days ago.

The Nissan system is so expensive because there is an extra step in there. A cream base coat, pearlescent coat, and then clear coat. I think it's worth the extra cash... I had a Pearl 91 Maxima - loved that color.

Ivory Pearl on the '08 G37 is nice. Just wish it had more pearlescense to it.

I thought it might be a little cheaper through paintscratch.com but it's not. I've used them for touchup pens (1/2 the price of the stealership) and a small spray bottle but never a gallon.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. With an investment that size, I would certainly want to closely inspect a half dozen of the cars they have previously painted before handing them yours. the low bidder should be scrutinized hard.
