Alright, I was pretty set on the Tomei exhaust manifold for my GT3071R but while I have been saving, I've been keepin my eyes peeled and I recently stumbled on a Peak Performance one for $200 less. I've heard their name mentioned in a few random places, but never directly dealt with them. Here are the manifolds in question.

Peak Performance

Tomei

I am going to be selling my Tomei in a few weeks - 300 bucks and it is ceramic heat coated and still is under warranty from tomei and the coater.

No cracks. Nothing wrong with it just switching back to my log manifold. It is the same header that is 600 dollars new or 580 delivered if you happen to find a deal. It is powder ceramic coated silver. It will not be off the car until a couple of weeks. Sent you a pm

I have looked at both, IMO Tomei is the way to go, the peak one is good too but the Tomei is definitely the better out of the two.

Pretty sure I'm going to be buying the tomei from Shift. Thanks OM3GA for your response and thanks Shift for chiming in with the awesome deal.

Not trying to steal a good deal from you Pyronaik, but if you happen to change your mind. I'll probably be interested in Shift's tomei exhaust manifold.

yeah I would rather sale it to someone on this board than list it on fleabay.... If pyro decides he does not want it then s142 is next in line.........

With a gt2871r some mild cams and 18 lbs of boost I made something like 337 whp and 311 ft lbs of torque. So if flows like crazy and really spools the turbo well.

Once you get it, do a comparison review with your current set up. I've been looking at the Tomei Expreme for a while and would like to know if it really lives up to what they claim.

When I purchased my 3071 from CIP, John told me there was a tech guy there putting down 430whp using a T2 3071 with a Tomei Expreme and other supporting parts. After the mani, I still have to get injectors and a tune, so it's still going to be a while before I can do a comparison for you. I've just been piecing this project together. Wife and son come first.

I know where you're coming from. I have a wife and 3 kids and they definitely come first. The toys will come, slowly but surely. It's hard to drop over $500 on something with so little reviews.

The Tomei definitely flows amazingly, they designed the manifold with different length pipes to increase exhaust flow to the turbo even at lower rpms, so it spools quicker at low rpms also. Its awesome i will definitely be buying one in the future. Right now i am stuck on what elbow/downpipe setup to do.

I'm sure the Tomei Expreme will have faster response vs an equal length, but I'd like to see the difference between the stock manifold and the Tomei Expreme. Perhaps even a side by side comparison on how long it takes for each to reach full boost with say a GT2871R. Both with the same set up ofcourse.

Well, when I get my car finished, I'll be sure to swap back and forth from the stock and the tomei when I get a dyno day. This, of course, will be a few months...

no problem -- sorry it took so long. It really did come out great though -- here is a picture. I have the extrude honed iron manifold and my butt dyno could not really tell the difference but I assume the Tomei would make a few extra ponies across the board.

all nice and shinny for free. the other coating kept coming off. I do not think you could sand blast that off.....

I run the one off dan the man cobra down pipe elbow combo. You will never have any leaks ever with that setup it has a flex before the cat and yes I still run a high flow cat. I would recommend the combo cobra down pipe I think Dmax still makes them. They are the best period. spend a little more and get the right parts for your car one time and be done. IMO

Oh believe me i spend the money to get the right parts. You will see in my engine build thread when i have time to post it.

Its funny you mention the pbm cobra because i actually placed my order for that about 2 weeks ago haha.

Cant wait for its sizzling a** to get here. (rattle snake sounds)
