I am looking to upgrade my S13, and came across the FUll suspension (minus shocks :( ) kit on PDM-Racing.com.

Besides the fact that I would have to purchase shocks as well, is there a more economical way to upgrade the suspension for aggressive daily driving?

This seems like a sweet deal, and the all of the pieces needed to restore the factory worn parts in the suspension appear to be included. Does anyone have input on this kit, or is there a better way to upgrade the suspension for $800?

instead of getting the whiteline busings get the energy suspension master bushing set. $125 at http://www.courtesyparts.com/M...Code= this will save you a lot of money.

and you can also buy other swaybars that are good like suspension technique.

so far my set up is kyb agx shocks new $400 shipped new on ebay. and ground control $400 shipped ( think i got ripped off on that though). cusco os strut bars and the energy suspension master kit will go in soon.

But the pdm is a pretty good deal,:ylsuper

Hmmmmm.... It doesnt look as though that ENergy Suspension kit comes with actual subframe bushings. Rather, it seems to have spacers included.

Thanks for that link 007, I may very well end up buying that kit, installing the AL subframe spacers from my Z32, and buying some nice used coilovers off ebay :)

Im not looking for subframe collars. I am looking for Polyurethane Replacements for the OEM Subframe bushings (not spacers or collars).

becareful with the PU bushings. they're a lot stiffer than stock so they dont flex as much. no flex=lots of stress on the parts. there have been numerous stories of guys breaking their TC rods and or LCAs because of the PU TC rod bushings.

I got some bushing collars (whiteline from pdm) and my front drivers one fell out. Now my subframe is loose. I'd like a final solution to all these subframe bushing problems i've had. Like to replace the stock ones plus get some aftermarkets support bushings.

Well a good way of looking at that would be having the opportunity to buy quality tc rods.

That's what im planning to do

yeah, im not going to risk getting a set of $60 bushings and then have them break my TC rods and spend $100 there. i'll get a set of good adjustable TC rods that dont need bshings.

THis is interesting. I used Energy Suspension PU TC bushings in my Z for over 2000 miles and never had one problem. I could understand stress on parts like control arms, but I cant really imagine PU bushings being stiff enough to break the OEM TC bars.

And BTW, the Energy Suspension TC bushings are only $30 or so.

After searching all night, I am still confused on what will yeil dthe best handling for a badass DD.

Coilovers + ENergy Master kit + Sways?

OR

PDM Suspension Kit + KYB AGXs?

COilovers worry me, simply due to the fact that I am not very knowlegdgeable concerning rebuilcing them when the time comes. DO most companies sell rebuild kits for their coilovers?

you know i was going to put a thread up about this too.i too was thinking about getting the whole suspenssion package with springs and bushings and sway bars.... but some one told me that 1. the endlinks on the swaybars are crap.

2. it takes a long time to adjust the sway bars.

3. same thing about the tc things cracking.

so i was wondering what is the remedy .. .well at least to the third one?

240sxer, why did they fall out? which ones are those?

ok are these what your supposed to get to fix #3's problem???.... >>> are these what crack??? http://www.importfan.com/product.asp?3=4253 ???

or the moog inner and outer tie rods????SPL tension rods what about these are the the same thing as the tiens above?or TF Pillow Tension Rods

or these http://store3.yimg.com/I/jspec_1784_10027966 ???

yeah i dont know what im talking about and i dont claim i do thats why im asking. im pretty sure tho that these arent the right parts but i have to find out somehow.

which ones are the tc's? are they rods or what?

does anyone have the sway bars on? or even the springs?this is fro a 92 hatch btw

please someone help me out herethanks

here we go, I HAVE the pdm suspension kit and the agx's.

-there is no way thes t/c rod bushings caused the rod to break, whatever the the car hit causing the shock broke it.now somone said that a pillow mounted t/c rod would have been better in this case, no it would have shattered in this situation or bent the subframe cause there is NO give with those.

-the subframe bushings are not oem replacements they are a lock and align kit.

- the bushhing collars on the lca do fall out, if they are not pressed in properly this is an extreame pain in the a$$ to do.i reccomend paying a shop to do it.

- All i can say for the loose subframe is you really gotta torqe these things down and keep checking them, remember it(the subframe) was not designed for the spacers. besides those are for off road use, for that reason.....they take a while to come a little loose though dont they?

- I just adjusted my front swaybar last night, took me 20 mins. w/ the nissan tire-iron and some sockets.

- the endlinks are BEEFY, but i would suggest using larger washers to hold on the bushings if you are worried about that, i drive hard and have had no complaints about the endlinks. If you're really squeemish u can opt for the endlink upgrade kit for a little$$.

if u decide to go this route i would reccomend getting new upper bearing mounts as well as the spring silenceing wrap.

All in all its a pretty good kit for daily driving and some weekend racing. I have fun w/ it
