Ive been looking into getting a cam from PDM racing for my SOHC to liven it up.Just have a few questions for ya..

Have any of you had good/bad experiences with PDM cams?

I'm looking into the C404.H

It says that the cam towers can be milled .025".. and im gonna go out soon to machine shops around my area for a price.. but whats a reasonable price for this

anyways.. heres the site that tells about the cams.. http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/cam_corner.html

feel free to recommend me a different cam if you want

Thanks

All of PDM's nissan cams are cut my Colt Cams. I have a custom cam cut by Colt Cams. I e-mailed the man and he called me to see what it was that I wanted, and needed. I told him that I would like a power band from 3000 to 7000 and a smooth idle was not needed. He said that he could cut if for 3200 - 7000 or 3000 - 6800 and had a couple of different lift option for me to pick from. All in all the gentleman form Colt Cams was very helpfull and I went with the 3200 - 7000 rpm range Big lift on the intake side and a little less lift on the exgaust but more duration. The price was $300.00 for the cam and $25.00 for shiping. Plus I had to send him a cam to recut. As far as the cam goes I installed it 4 degress advance and at 3200 the cam kicks in (and I do mean kick) and pull strong all the way to the red line. I did have to turn the idle up to 1000 rpm's and I got an average of 18.6 mpg before and 17.8 after the change.

PS the reson for milling the tower is to keep the rocker geometry right.
