Well heck the numbers they are making are VERY impressive for what little work they have actually done to the car.

Its times like these when I think about sticking N/A...

read it all...

I wonder if they'll ever sell a "tuned" PDM ecu like what theyhave done to this car.

did you read the part where those numbers were made on 104 octane race gas?

that might throw your plans a curve

145rwhp and 166ft/lbs torque on 94 octane...and luckily i live right next to a station selling 93.

Personally with JUST those mods making those numbers I dont think thats bad at all!

Im impressed still with those numbers produced. I cant wait to see the rest of the build up and what else they have in plan for the car.

dude, they have had those numbers for over 6 months. I dont think they intend to finish the car or they are just lazy lol!

As per STS rules, there is really not much more they can do... They did intake, headers, and exhaust, coilovers, tower braces, sway bars, an ECU tune, and presumably lightweight rims (that push the STS envelope)...

You cant do internal work, so unless compression is off in the engine, there is little to be gained from a complete engine rebuild. No cams, no high comp NA pistons, no new cranks, and absolutley no FI. Now I'm not sure what the SCCA thinks of EGR bypass, and SCV removal.

However, even though the pink car seems to be done with prep for STS, I would like to see some ways (as I am not aware of any) to re-tune our ECU's once we have done some minor mods... Like bolt ons and some junk yard internals to improve things a bit. -- Maybe many shops know how to get into the KA's ECU to adjust timing and fuel maps... But I dont know.

Well Im sure they wouldnt say more to come if they didnt plan on doing anything else. Heck maybe they'll get out of the whole autox regulation crap and just see what numbers they can produce with a full N/A build.

I just thought it was pretty interesting...
