i ran pdm cams in my old DE, that was before they came out with the triflow cams. loved them though. still had a nice idle and pulled alot better than stock in the mid and high end

This is how I see it for the DOHC cams.

looking at the DOHC cams the Jim Wolfe Clearly shows more lift and duration .390"lift/275 deg duration (INT/EXH)

Looking at the PDM cams.379" lift/272 deg duration(INT), .380" lift/ 278 deg duration (EXH)

Looking at Brian Crower DOHC cams.375" lift/264 deg duration (INT/EXH)

Brian Crower are the cheapest cams, well because they show the least advertised lift and duration. Brian crowers seem to be more of a midrange cam than what the Jim Wolfe or PDM have advertised. The Brian Crowers seem to be just a smogable as the PDM cams, if not as smogable as the PDM's. The Jim Wolfe's seem as if they would be the hardest to tune around for smog.

The Brian Crowers also seem to be more suitable for boosted KA's due to it's shorter duration. Naturally Aspirated cams tend to use longer durations.

The PDM cams seem to be better for a more consistent overlap. The lift doesn't reach a peak such as the Jim Wolfe tech cams, but the valves remain open longer on the PDM exhaust cam for sure. I will also be willing to bet that the PDM cams are better for smog emissions than the Jim Wolfe cams.

The lift is how high the valve will open.Duration is how long the valve is to remain open. That would be the easiest way to think of it.I'm selecting the PDM DOHC cams for my KA. It seems to be more of a mid and high rev cam for the duration given on exhaust.

BRIAN CROWER are the best bang for your buck. I'm debating about upgrading to them myself
