I'd say don't get cams until you go turbo. Then you can start fresh instead of having to re-tune or even replace cams. I doubt cams for turbo would work well NA.

Go there and read everything they have, they answer your questions on the site. They also have before and after dyno sheets. I would wait until I went turbo to buy them though. Turbo cams are made for turbo engines, they aren't meant to be used on an NA setup. Turbo cams are designed to help spool up the turbo faster and prevent lag.

You don't have to do any tuning with cams (unless they are race spec.) Of course they work better with mods like I/H/E, etc. Before I put mine in Im planning on getting the head port/polish. With cams meant for racing, you may need things like larger valves, larger injectors, bigger fuel pump, and stiffer valve springs.

Don't listen to Ajax. That has to be the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Of course get cams. They will help you no matter if you have a turbo or not.

But if you are getting the '91 cams, they will not help you if you have a S13. Yoiu have to have a S14 for them to give you any power. The stage 2 cams will give you more power if you have a S13.

Please allow me to clarify as I may not have typed exactly what my brain was thinking.

It sounds to me like 240sxHitman is not quite sure when the engine will be turboed. If this is the case, I would hold off on getting internals for the engine until there is a clearer idea of what is going to be done. I recommend not buying parts that may not be of use to you later (i.e. I bought some Whiteline bushings for control arms, that if I had waited until I knew more clearly what I was going to do with the suspension, I probably would have bought the bearing links instead). What if 2 years from now, when you have enough money to go turbo, you decide to go sr20. Well, then you've got these nice cams for a ka that are of little use and will not sell for as much money as was paid. (If you've got money out the wazoo, then by all means, go ahead.)My opinion is based mainly on economic efficiency. Sorry for any confusion that my hasty post may have caused.

well to make things more clean.........my motor has been rebuilt. I was just asking if i can basically put turbo cams now so when i do go turbo i would have already had them done, but i cant. So im going to hold off until im ready to get the cams and BD turbo kit. and if i didnt get my KA rebuilt i definitly wouldnt be talking about cams for the KA cuz i would have probably went with an SR
