I've had a Clie (sold it to AZ) and MANY friends co-workers have them. AFAIK, they all prefer them to the Palm they had before. Keep in mind they went from old technology to new technology, but I liked the jog dial and higher res screen.

The Clie is really nifty, high-tech, but annoys the piss out of me with its use of memory stick and a few other Sonyisms.

I wish Apple still made the Newton.

I have an Ipaq h4155. It's great. Nice and small. The screen backlight can be set brighter than any others I've looked at. Pocket PC 2003 is a pretty intuitive program that is set up similar to Windows. The battery life has been great. I looked at some PDAs that do not use the Pocket PC OS and I didn't particularly like them. I'd probably look up PDAs on CNET though to get an idea of the differences and then check out the ones you think you might be interested in person.

I have an ipaq 3835, i got about 2 years ago.....

I think the battery is justnow starting to get weak, but it still gets me through a day. PPC is a great OS, i highly recommend it...

The only thing I dont like about the ipaq is you have a special sleeve to run CF. SD cards are TOO expensive!

I prefer palmos5 to pocketpc, but I have to hand it to ms, they put a good OS together (for a change).

My next handheld will be a dell axim x3i, which happens to run said pocketpc software.

I have a Toshiba E755 as well. I broke the screen which is why I have the Ipaq now. The E755 does it's job well, but it's a lot larger than my Ipaq. I haven't noticed any significant differences in batter life. The Toshiba has a CF and an SD slot, but I found I had little need for the CF. I got the Toshiba thinking I would use the CF slot for accessoty expansion. I found it to be rather useless. I had an SD card already as I bought one for the Toshiba so I could expand the memory while keeping the CF slot open so I am not feeling any ill-effects froom having an SD card now. Though I may try to get a 1 GB SD card soon. I need more space for more MP3's.

Here are a couple of pictures of both of my PDA's so you can compare. They are not of great quality. My Camera phone does only so much. The photos do not really give the best impression of size either. My Toshiba barely fit in my jacket pockets. I can carry the Ipaq in it's provided case and it is no bigger than my wallet. While I do not put it in my rear pants pocket, I can put it in my front pockets just fine and hardly notice it's there. With the Ipaq out of the case it is even smaller.
