If you plug PCV valve with a finger should it make the car run differantly? Mine has sucktion but doesn't effect the way it runs. I just know on other cars it can make them die if its plugged. Still trying to figure out why mines running crappy.

The FSM says you check it by removing the hose from the valve, and you should hear a hissing sound. When you put your finger on the valve you should feel a strong vacuum suction. It doesn't mention anything about the idle changing...I don't know if that is a good way to test it or not because I don't see how that checks if the valve opens and closes when it needs to.

They are like $5 each from Napa, and if they look old it would be a good idea to change them anyways, just to rule it out and for piece of mind that your new ones won't fail anytime soon :)
