I have a redtop SR and My catch can fills up pretty quickly when i get into boost lets say in like 3rd and 4th gear like getting onto the interstate. its a 480cc can and it will fill up from just driving my car hard for a few pulls. my exhaust does not smoke. my turbo has almost zero shaft play. i have a new pcv valve i just put on. i have not done a compression test but my car doesn't feel like its lost any power, if my rings were bad anyways wouldn't there be smoke?? but the can is filling up too fast. it makes me sick to look at it full everytime i pop my hood. is there something else that could be wrong?? somebody help me out if possible!! thanks.

i just had a similar issue with my black top, kept filling catch can and so much poss pressure that my dipstick would raise about 1-2" and get oil all over my engine bay, ended up being caused by bad compression. did a comp test had bad compression. tore it a part last week sure enough major pitting on head, and pistions due to detonation. Sucked but got a new sr and swapped it in. So what im getting at is check compression. You can also pull the pcv on valve cover and make sure you can only blow through it one way. If you can blow both ways you know its bad.

yup, that's what we call "blow by", when the combustion gases leak past the pistons and pressurize the crank case and head. It's not so much the oil excessively leaving the motor on its own as it is the blow by literally forcing it out. I'm guessing your oil turns black~1000 miles after changing it, too?

because obviously not all of the combustion gasses are getting past the rings. just an amount that is more than usual.
