Minitape...is that MiniDV? If the format is already digital, you can get a fairly cheap package that'll allow you to capture the clips to your harddrive, and then edit them. I use Pinnacle Studio. If the video is not digital, then you'll need another kind of converter card, or possibly an all-in-one. Not sure how much those are.

If it's an analog cam (uses a tape), you'll need a capture card - A good option is the ATI All-In-Wonder 9000. Everything you need to capture, edit and enhance video, then just burn to DVD. :)

Use USB or firewire cable to transfer.

i have this box thats called instant dvd made by ADS technology. You plug it into your computer through USB port.Anything with RCA jacks can hook into this box.Ive used it by hookin my tv,dvd, camcorder, playstation 2. basicly anything you want.Just plug it up push play on dvd/camcorder and the software that comes with it will caputre the media and save it to your harddrive in whatever format.Got it a circuit city let me see if i can find a link.

my sony handycam has a port to connect the camcorder to the pc via either firewire or usb, and if that is what you are talking about, it comes w/ the software to use it. and do u mean serj as in system of a down serj?
