I've been looking for almost 6 full months now, and I've got a car sold right out from under me before I got a chance to pick it up twice in the last week. These things sell quick. My advice: autotrader and car.com. Have cash with you so you can go and buy it immediately. Hopefully you don't steal my future car though :D

Eh, you've got plenty of time. Seriously, just check autotrader, cars.com, and the forums every day. Also check the newspaper if you get it and ebay sometimes has stuff in sacto. Good luck man!

just to let you know, you may want to limit your search to 91-94 240s, for the dohc. im not sure exactly how nissan worked it, but some of the older ones look a little different, with seperated tail lights and a slightly different front.

I have an 89 at the moment, and I dont care if its an 89 through 94, and dont mind the front end with the "pignose" on the 89/90. As long as its a manual, engine is good, not too many miles and in Northern Cali I dont care.

Haha just had a post on that one, already went and checked it out. I always check autotrader/cars.com and other various online searches.

Go to Tijuana, most 240s end up in Mexico.

Hey,good luck searching man, I totally feel for ya, I live in the Bay area, but going to school in Davis (mooo), but yeah, I know it can be a pain in the ***. I just got mine not to long ago ( white 1990 240sx fastback, all options w/o the hicas package : /, but with only 112xxx miles at the time). Got it from a buddy of mine, but yeah, they're out there. Another thing you might to consider is what kind of condition you're looking for, like if you're planning on a sr swap, a good motor may not be something you're looking for and therefore could cut costs. But yeah, a good place to check is http://www.craigslist.org, always got a number of 240s that are local to Bay Area and lower Sac region. Good luck on your search, keep me posted on your progress, when my project's done we'll take quik silvia's offer and go Honda tormenting. But yeah, I feel for ya man, what school you going to btw?

Im up in Willows, have the summer off but im going on my senior year of high school next year. I have 2 240's right now, but my aunt is willing to spend some money for me on a really nice one with low miles, so im taking her up on that offer. When I go off to college next year Id like something really reliable with low miles and not to have to do too much work to it. But yeah I check craiglist/autotrader/cars.com all the time. Quiksilvia had a nice one for me a while back from his friend but he decided not to sell it, so im still in the search.
