Need some help. My son's new (new to him) 94 Pathfinder has a drain on the battery constantly. I have narrowed it down to the two stereo amps that are mounted in the rear compartment. They are constantly on, with the radio turned off. (I even pulled the radio fuse) They go off when I pull the radio AMP fuse, but that shouldn't have to be done daily.

Anyone know what I am missing, is there a switch or relay I need to locate? We really want to leave the stereo and amps in place, the things work and the kid really doesn't really have unlimited funds.

I assume these might be aftermarket amps as I dont recall the factory systems having 2 amps. On after market systems there are usually one or two blue wires coming from the stereo. These are signal wires for antenna and amp operation. They send a voltage or a ground signal to the device to tell it that it is on or off. If you dont have that hooked up it could be your problem. Or if you have mix matched systems the signal could be oppisite each other. We have a audio forum and there are some pretty good audio gurus in there that can go into more detail on aftermarket systems and possibly get you a more detailed answer how to fix it.
