Pathfinder windows make a real bad noise when down..

if i roll down the rear windows or if they are lower than than the front ones i get this deafening thumping sound in my ears that hurt real bad! i have never experienced this before and when i told the dealer about it ,as usual they look at you as if your crazy. they didnt even bother test driving it!

other than that, a beautiful, performing suv!! i recently turned it in due to the lease being up and just got an xterra, smaller but fun and same performance as the pathfinder....on the other hand, planet nissan in las vegas is the worst place to buy a car, nothing but sleazeball, jaded, cynical, uptight, rude, too many negatives to list here a**holes i have ever dealt with in buying a car!! i took the deal because its a DEAL. i got the car for $1500 below list and my crappy credit i got 11.25% without a down payment! hells yes!! the deal was worth the pain but not next time, i hear henderson nissan is better, so next time...

I have heard of this before. The problem occurs in larger vehicles when the windows are down and the roof moves up and down like a giant drum head.

I'm not clear if this problem is with your current vehicle or a previous one, but if it is with your current vehicle, try pushing on the center of the roof next time you are experiencing the problem.

I don't know if the problem is more or less common with a roof rack and/or sunroof.

It's jsut the way it's designed. It come from the suction of air moving across the rear windows.

Besides, its more fuel efficient to run the AC when moving at highway speeds anyway. The windows down create a lot of drag, which you're hearing!

is it that brain rattlling bassy effect ? kidna like playing bass tunes on a 18" sub @ 25 hz? LOL

i got that on the hwy the other day i tought it was my tires or the rough pavement
