hello, i have a 95 pathfinder that has developed a condition that no one can help me with. as it is downshifting it will reach approx a span of between 40 and 25 MPH and clunks. other than that, it runs and shifts perfectly. it seems to do it more often after you have driven it for some time, even though it will periodically do it . i have even had itto a transmission shop and they seem to think that it is the motor. but it is definatley a tranyy problem.SOME ONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Describe you ATF, filter, and pan/magnet cleaning frequency over the past 11 years..............serviced every 30k or 2 years?

we purchased this from my brother in law who lives in LA approx 5 years ago. we live in oh and we had it serviced shortly after we got it. we are the second owners. i just had it done again when this issue started about 3 months ago, right after the transmission shop said that they thought it was the motor i just told them to sservice it any way.

it is so sporatic that when i have someone else look at it, it may not do it for them.

one other thing. my tach developed a problem some time back. it doesn't work correctly. it will start out at it's normal rpm and then slowly bottom out. the motor is fine, so i'm wondering if this may have something to do with the transmission problem, corrosion, frayed wire, something!
