Hi I first would like to thanks everyone for there help on these pathfinders on questions ive had. I have a 2000 pathfinder se with 132,000 miles on it I bought it this way just about month ago. I noticed when motor is cold transmission will not shift into 5th overdrive until warmed up. I was wondering if this is normal or not it has right amount of fluid and is very pink so any idea????? thanks

Wow, you're lucky, mine won't shift out of 3rd till I get a good mile and a half under her. The trans confuses me, though..I coulda sworn we had a 4 speed auto transmission. But count the shifts, it upshifts 4 times, but drop O/D off, and it grabs 3rd. Unless it's not an actual shift into a 5th gear and just the trans catching up..

when the TCC locks up, it may seem like another gear due to the drop in rpm.
