why do some put it on? from which gen and most of all...why???

because it allows for an increase in air flow, anything over 70mm is especially noticable when you do it. the pathy TB is 70mm IIRC

Its not a direct bolton though, I believe someone made adapter plates for it fit on both a 5th and 4th gen IM. You should look into and 00VI swap before doing a pathy TB

I'm doing the VH45 (q45) 90mm TB with a VQ35 pathy IM, more airflow means more gas to burn, but more power in the end.

I used one because it allowed me to keep my cruise control and made converting the throttle control a no-brainer when I did the VQ35 swap.

so i'm guessing the vq35's tb is smaller than pathfinder's?

Yep. I had to have an adapter made.
