Hi all.
So my pathfinder 215000m stalled at a stop sign the other day. Started straight back up but would not idle properly. Had two drive two footed on the way home. Got home turned off and then it would not start again. Turns over just won’t fire. The next morning I tried to start it and it started straight up and ran fine till it was warm. Then died and have not be able to start it since. When it died the a/t, brake and battery light began to flash and it does this nearly everytime you turn the ignition to the on position now. Getting codes p0505 and p0100. Also can smell burning electrical when I try to start it. I also noticed a heap of fresh oil around the pin plug on the alternator. Could this be causing a short that is making the computer throw them codes and not letting the engine start.
Thanks in advanced

Hello and welcome to the forum.
When you get a chance, update your user profile with your location and year of your vehicle. These will help us help you better.

For your codes, first thing I did was to type the code into the search bar to see what others have experienced relating to your code.
Example - search.php?keywords=p0505&fid%5B0%5D=37
The P0100 code seems like a MAF cleaning at minimum or MAF sensor replacement should take care of you.

For further troubleshooting, NICOclub offers the factory service manual for reference. I have linked it in my signature below.
The EC section is the one that usually has most of your engine control and DTC codes.
