I've had no major problems (couple things under warranty, such as exhaust leak), mine has 54K miles, bought when it was new.

They are quick, it is a 350Z engine (just tuned for less HP), but its a heavier vehicle and it does drink gas when floored. If its not fast enough and you're rich, through a turbo/SC kit on it.

Haven't really looked into the mods for suspension, etc.

Yeah I have a 02 5spd 4x4 se and love it. I got mine last year off ebay for cheap. Since mine is the 5spd it gets 10 more hp, I also installed a cold air intake. I am saving up do my exhaust over (350Z headers moded to fit, with 2-1/4" piping with no resonators) and also for 2" lowering springs. Take a look at my cardomain site for some other things have done so far to mine.

The 5speeds were pretty rare, closest one to me when I was looking was NY and it had no options. And yeah the 5sp got 10 more hp, but lost 10 ft/lb torque. Don't know if I'd want to lower a 4x4.

Rare is right. I've only seen a few others with the 3.5 and a 5spd. But I couldn't pass up the great deal I got on it. The only reason I got 4wd is for the awesome weather we get here in Rochester,NY. So most of the time my truck is 2wd won't be doing any offroading. Plus I like the slightly more aggresive look of it lowered.
