Well I'm still struggling to figure out what's causing the pull to the left I have. I recently replaced the steering rack mounts which tightened up my steering nicely but didn't fix the pull. When I changed out my front bearings last winter I noticed that the driver side wheel/hub is noticeably stiffer when spinning by hand than the passenger side. I'm wondering if it might be an issue with a warped hub or rotor or both. Could this be causing the pull? I'm just guessing at this point, as I am completely out of ideas and ready to give up and live with it. Anyone have any advice or have had a similar issue? Does anyone else's Pathfinder 4x4 pull left? Thanks

There's so many variables it's gonna be hit of miss trying to figure this out. How severe is the pull? Believe it or not your tires might be the culprit. Have you checked the front tires to make sure they're ok? Do they show any signs of uneven wear or seperation?

Nope, not the tires. I've rotated through all of them. The pull isn't severe, but it is more noticeable the faster the speed. I have to keep the steering wheel slightly right to counteract the pull left at highway speed.

Previous posters have indicated that bent rear control arm have resulted in the truck needing corrective steering. The front control arms are also subject to being bent and or the brushing degraded to the point that while driving they compress causing alignment issues that do not show on static checks in the garage.

A slight extra drag in spining the wheels would not transfer into noticeable corrective steering. My test for that would be to from a cold start, drive onto a freeway and travel 15minutes without using brakes. Turn on the hazzards pull over to the side and stop using parking brake only. Get out and take temperature readings on hub and spindle on both sides and see if they are within few degrees of each other.

Thanks for the tip. Is there anyway to check to see if the rubber bushings are worn out? Would there be any movement if I jacked the front wheels up. I really can't afford to just start replacing parts in hopes of finding the issue. Nothing looks bent, but it's possible. We've owned the truck for almost 7 years and when purchased we had to replace the front left coil because it was broken.

I found a inner tie rod on the driver side that makes a clunking sound while turning the steering wheel with vehicle turned off. It doesn't seem to be sloppy like a worn tie rod usually is, but it does seem to let go and clunk under heavy load. I wonder if this could be the issue? I'll be replacing it either way I guess.
