Has anybody experienced strange noises coming from the back wheels or drive train when reversing their Pathfinder. I experience it, but it does not happen everytime i reverse.

Can you describe the sound further? Is it a clunk, a squeak, ???

To be honest it sound like the brake catching and then releasing. I've had three different mechanics inspect the back and they've all said everything looks in good order.

Have you tried greasing the driveshaft? There are reports of strange noises going away afterwards.

Could also be rear joints are worn and allowing change of angle on the drive shaft.

A wiggle with mechanics hands is not the same stress putting it into gear and moving. 4000 lbs.
