Greetings, I have a 2002 Pathfinder in excellent condition and just recently I have noticed some coolant leaking from area in the picture, I have circled the approximate area that the coolant is dripping from.

I have no idea WHERE the leak is originating. My truck is running fine, no overheating. I did notice that from my last oil change the dudes must have slightly overfilled the coolant reservoir. Could that be it, the excess coolant is being drained through a release valve or something? I don't "smell" coolant either and everything else looks good.

Could my heater core hoses be leaking? No leaking inside the vehicle though.

any thoughts? Thanks guys!!!

Looks as if your pointing under the car by the cross member near the sway bar bracket on the passenger side....

The only thing I can think of that would be coming from back there is either the freeze plug...

how much coolant are you losing?

WELCOME TO NICO, BTW.

not much at all. The last oil change I had...the "professionals" overfilled my coolant reservoir. Its actutally stopped now. I've checked every day since the weekend and haven't seen a drop. Should I assume that things are 'back to normal' or should I have the freeze plug checked out?

thanks, Glad to be here!! Forums like these are invaluable sources of information.

best regards, Jon
