pathfinder KA 5spd ??

Thinking of buying a 90-95 pathfinder 4x4, I have only seen a v6 , auto model, is it possible to convert to a 5 speed transmission and ka dohc,in a 4x4. would that swap work ??

They do make 5spd Pathys, it was an option up to 2002. As for the KA, why would you want to do that?

I can see the value of going for a KA turbo . . . But personally, I've HEARD of a VG30ET (or maybe DET) swap into a WD21 Pathfinder . . in my opinion, THAT'D be tits.

I own a 1990 nissan pick up with close to 300,000 on it and it still runs strong, I own a 95 240sx 160,000 strong, The KA is a great engine and i am not to sure about the pathfinders v6. Nice little 4x4 pathfinder with a KA and a 5sp that thing would last forever thats why.

My S14, which I just sold had 150k on it with no problems. . ever. . the timing chain was original, and I still had no rattle.

It is a good engine, but it's my understanding that the VG is tough as hell too.

I only have 66k on my QX4, so we'll see how it puts up with my crap

Yeah, its hard to find the v6 with a 5 spd . I guess i could swap in the manual transmission.and the 6 would help being 4x4 .
