"Pathfinder" I stall when I try to reverse

Hello, I have a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder Chilkoot when I start it up on a cold day and try to put it into reverse it stalls out on me.(no problems going forward even without warming it up) It used to start shaking and sputtering and eventually stall but now it just flat out stalls. My check engine light has been on for a few years but when I had it scanned they couldn't find any codes. When the truck has warmed up for 5-10 mins it seems ok but any less and it craps out. When it does stall a low oil pressure light comes on as well. any Ideas? Today when it stalled I almost couldn't get it to turnover again. it seemed like it drained the battery but after trying for a few mins it finally started and I could go forward.

An oil pressure light with the engine stopped and ignition on is perfectly normal,the engine isn't running so there's no oil pressure, so the light goes on.

I'd have the codes read again. A SES light means there should be codes.
