I want to find out what I can expect from a Pathfinder 2007 turbo diesel in fuel economy. i purchased my vehicle last May and have completed over 14,000 kilometres and have recorded my fuel usage almost from day 1 and I am not particularly impressed.

Before I go thinking that Pathfinders are fuel gusslers I would like to know if my circumstances are isolated or are other owners experiencing similar results. My current usage varies between 12.5 and 14.7 depending on how much city driving I am doing and how much highway travel. The best I have ever got out of it is 10.63 which was entirely highway driving.

I look forward to any comments from other Pathfinder drivers as I might need to express my views on consumption better with the local mechanic which of course is the nissan dealer.

Regards,

Labent

To translate for us seppos up here, that translates to 16 city / 22 hwy. My understanding is that the turbo diesel Pathfinder should be doing much better than that.

I believe it should be getting something like 8.11, but I may be wrong -- we don't have the turbo diesel models here (hopefully will change next year). I'm highly interested in them, and I believe I read something like that. To translate, 8.11 is something like 29 mpg.

If it makes you feel any better, I get like 14 mpg (16.8) in the city and 16 on the hwy.

I don't know enough about them to be able to tell you how to troubleshoot it, but if you have a warranty I'd maybe drop it by the dealer for a good look over.

Welcome to NICO!!!
