Pathfinder Door Won't Open

The left rear passenger door on my 98' Pathfinder, quit opening about two years ago! It's one of those "get to it when I have time" things and hey, I still had one rear door that worked! - Not any more.

They both have a floppy outer door handle and the inner door handles do nothing. The power door locks still flick the button in and out. Must be some common door mechanism part failed.

My question is, is there any way to "jimmy" the door, to at least get them open. I can then take them apart to see what failed and repair. Otherwise they look like a real pain to disassemble while closed.

I don't think there's a way to jimmy it open but you might be able to snag something with a coat hanger. Take the panel off the other one to see where thingsare. And if you do have to get inside the broken door, pull thebottom part ofthe back seat out. It's just a couple of bolts.
