i have got this pathfinder ( 2006 model)..the vehicle is good..but the A/C ..i m not really satisfied with the airconditioner. Its jus not cool enough..if i m out in the peak afternoons i m virtually sweating, so u can very well imagine the plight of ppl in the back seat!! If u touch the A/C vent it is cool..but the vehicle doesnt cool!!..On a long drive i feel the A/C are slightly better in performance....I have gone to the service tech and they cant point anything specific..

Pls advice..

sometimes the most obvious is the most overlooked, first check the freon to make sure it doesnt need a recharge.

Over the years I've come to accept that big SUV's and minivans take a long time to cool down. There is such a big volume of air inside the vehicle that it takes forever to get the hot air out and/or cooled off.My cars cool off twice as fast as my truck and my old minivan. That's just the way it is.I've also found that the exterior colour plays a big part in how good the A/C system works. The darker the car, the harder it is to keep cool. You may also want to consider tinted windows, if you don't already have them. This makes a huge difference.

you got that right, my black QX4 is hell on a 100* day in the desert. and if it sits in a day like that, the only way to cool it down is to drive at freeway speed with the AC cranked. And i have a white chevy that is no problem at all, you dont even need AC in it. the color difference is phenomenal.

ive been considering painting the QX4 silver, what u think?
