pathfinder 2007 replaced TCM fuse still failed I used

Hello I replaced my TCM the fuse still blows. Against my better judgment I was talked into using a larger fuse . The larger fuse did not blow but when I turned off the suv it wold no longer crank . The fuse is still good . I put the 10 amp back in ,I know its too late I did this for later in case I forget .
Any ideas where I should start looking for the open circuit . U1000 is the only code now.

Is the 10 amp blowing again?
Short circuits blow fuses, not open ones.
Any sign of water in the ATF?
