I just purchased a 1999 Pathfinder LE and I was wondering if it's normal that I can barely do 350KM with a full tank... I think it's a little crazy, especially for an 80L tank! On top of that.. 80% of the mileage was on the highway going 75mph ..

Is there anything I can check?

That's not normal. I've got a 4L V6 and I get over 420km on a 80 liter tank, city driving.

It'd be nice to know how many KM's are on the engine, but anyways, check the MAF sensor if it looks clean or not. I believe it's a thin red wire. To clean that, use a Q-tip and some cleaning alcohol and gently wipe away at it. Be very gentle or it'll cost you a few hundred dollars for a replacement. Also check the air filter and spark plugs. It may be time to change worn out spark plugs.

You may also want to check your brakes and emergency brake. They may not be working properly by not releasing entirely.

That's all that comes to mind. Anyone else have some thoughts?

Welcome to NICO!!That's right about what I've been getting. I've gone over that by a bit, but not by much.

Thanks a lot guys.. I'll bring it in the dealer and have them take a look at it.. I know it needs a tune up.. but I didn't think it would affect the gas mileage THAT bad..

If I can only do 350km of highway driving.. what is it going to be for city driving!

Actually, you might not have screwed your math up. Pathfinders have a 21 gallon tank, but i can only get 19 gallons in when it is almost dry, so i'm doing my equations off 19 gallon tank...
