Patfinder Armada Hard Cold Start

I have a 2004 Pathfinder Armada with 70,000 miles. Car is difficult to start after sitting for an extended period of time. Does this in cold weather and warm, but not after car has been running for awhile. Car will crank but idle is poor for a few seconds then idle is fine. Yesterday took several attempts to crank. Battery is not even 1 year old and connections are good.

I have also notice on rare occations odd behavior with various electronics in the car, for example I cranked the car and all the gauges did not move for several seconds or so. I have noticed the volt readings in the car while running would drift as well. From reading the other posts, sounds like these events are related to my rough cold start. I have not taken to dealer to run computer diagnostics but plan to this week. Any suggestions before I plunk down dollars at my friendly dealership? Thanks.
