eddiec: What is the status on the emissions testing in other parts of TN, do you know? I am planning on turboing my 240 and I am not sure what the emissions requirements will be here in Knoxville. It should be the same as it is there. Maybe you could check some other local cities for me and if they are similar post up what the requirements are so I will have something to work with.. Thanks alot

Should I remove the fmu just for testing?

Go to Ace Hardware and grab a Gal of denatured alcohol, put it in when your car has about mayb e a quater or less gas in it. Don't forget to make sure your car is all warmed up prior to the run. The Cat is most efficient when it's hot.

How much denatured alcohol do I put in?

Also...how do I adjust idle speed?

One gallon of alcohol. Your idle will go up if you advance the timing and down if you retard it. I'm pretty sure advance is clockwise. To adjust the idle speed you slowly unscrew the ilde screw on the IACV which is on the back side of the intake. It's a real PITA.

YESSS!!! Passed! Third time is a charm!

This time, I retard the hell out of the timing...replaced coolant temp sensor...and added a gallon of denatural alcohol...this lowered the numbers pretty well over half the limit....

THANKS GUYS...F* you AZ emissions....ahahhaha....street legal!

What about on OBD2 vehicles where they simply plug that thing up to under your dash?

same thing?

or just put your stock maf/injectors, ecu..etc.. and cross your fingers?
