passenger window rolls down on its own

Is my car haunted? Sometimes the passenger window rolls down half way on its own decision. I roll it up, it rolls back down. Eventually I give up, roll it almost all the way up, but not quite. Next day...fine, rolls up, stays up (for a while, days, sometimes weeks)Suggestions?

It needs to be timed. To do that quickly, remove your door panel, locate connector from window motor to harness. make sure glass is rolled up all the way. Disconnect harness. Reconnect harness. roll down in manual mode, roll up in manual mode. Roll down in auto mode, then up. If it drops back down, you'll have to do it the other way, pushing the button on the motor and teaching it manually. Somewhere here there is a thread on doing that I think....

Aww it looks like strike two for your Body Control Module.

At the point where you have multiple electronic system failure water intrusion, corrosion of hiring issues are the first thing I would look for.

Both this issue and the interior lights all have a common theme.

wierd... mine won't go up sometimes. so i took it to Infiniti the other day and it worked... it pisses me off

If your window will not roll up but you hear a distinct click from the effected window the motor would be suspect if you hear nothing I would look toward the switch, if it is the passenger both driver and front passenger switches need to be checked.

Funny thing, while searching saw a post on resetting BCM (disconnect battery ground for a while)

Lights work now!!!Window still funky, but at least now at night I can turn on interior lights and watch window roll down

I have heard if you push or pull on the window it can help you get it up or down. Best of luck
