The passenger window will not come back up. When using the drivers window control you can hear the switch click but no other sound. The passenger switch does not even click. Need to take off door panel to see if it is stuck, needs a new window regulator, or new motor. Any advice appreciated. 2002 QX41. Removal of door panel.2. Checking switches, regulator, motor3. Replacing regulator, motor4. Source of parts. 5. Putting door panel back on

i know this worked one time on a ford tore-a$$. swap the front switch with the back switch from the same side, on the taurus they took the same plug and it was a definite way to know if it was a bad switch or not. remember i have no clue if this works on a pathfinder or qx4 but its an idea.

That is a good idea on the switch, as there is a clicking noise on the passenger door when using the drivers switch I am not sure the switch is a problem, except when using the passenger switch there is no noise at all, and yes, the child lock is off.

As to removing the door panel, there were photos posted on another thread. Other comments: I have a 2003 but I suppose it should be similar. You first take the trim out around the door handle. Then remove a cap in the door which is covering a screw in the side of the arm rest. Remove the screw. Then pop the panel where the window control is on up and un harness the window control and unscrew the screw under there. Then just take a flat head screw driver and pry under the edges of the door to unclip the clips.there are screws hidden behind the window control switch there is a screw in the bottom of the pull handle right behind the switchs. once you remove that screw the switch panel pops out.around the door release is a bezel if you use a pocket screw driver and gently pry up the bezel along the release lever ,only pry it slightly while working toward the front of the release lever pocket till it pops off, Be very carful with it as it breaks easily. there may be a couple other screws on the door panel maybe under the elbow rest. and possibly under some round caps obviously on the surface of the panel you just pop those caps open and there is a phillips screw under it. then the door panel is poped off, it has snap retainers holding it to the metal portion of the door. A flathead screwdriver wrapped in a shop rag worked just fine for me.i believe there is a total of 5 screws. take out the clip and behind it is a screw

Bizzare development: I was driving the car home and went to see if the window would close and it did. The car healed itself. Someone discussed in an earlier post as to whether the computer is involved and said they had the same problem and it came back. Do not know how that ended. I started my car 5 to 10 times before it was self healed. Right now the window is rolle up. I am to chicken to roll it all the way down but it goes up and down a couple of inches as if this never was a problem.

I will post again if this resurfaces. Go figure. At least it happened before I took the panel off.
