For some reason my passenger side window seal is pushing all the way out external to the car and is not seating correctly when I lower and then raise the window. I contacted the dealership about this 2 months ago and I am still waiting for the part.

Anybody else had this problem?

First that I've heard of. Interesting problem. What part are they exactly replacing? Have a picture of what this looks like? I'm curious.

I assume they need to replace the whole seal on the window liner.

That's correct. I'll take some pictures and post in case anybody else sees the same issue.

Yes, yes, yes. I had this problem and strangely enough, it was ALSO the passenger side. I noticed this when I took delivery of the car as I did my whole inspection before I got in and drove off the lot. Salesman said it would be repaired and it was a non-issue.

So I came in a couple days later and they had to order the whole 'window weather stripping' as they called it. They replaced it and it was good for about a week or so and then it was back to normal. I then got upset with the service dept and took it back in and demanded it be fixed, I would not wait for the part to be ordered again... they took the stripping off a coupe off the lot and no problems up to this day.

Interesting that you have had the same issue......twice! I have not had mine replaced yet (part just came in), so I'll be sure to take pics before they do it. Weather has turned cold here and the snow has arrived so I'll have to be sure to test this regularly.

Can you guys post pics? I might have this problem too... not that I consider it a big problem. But it does stick outward, and its the passenger side aswell.

Yep....give me a day or so as the weather has been crappy and I want to take a decent pic. Mine hasn't been fixed yet so it should be a good comparison to the problem that you may have.

BTW....I ran mine through the car wash multiple times before I saw the problem (noticed this when it came back from the tint shop). No problems with water leakage into the car, but I'm betting that the water leaks badly into the door skin from the outside. I ended up going after the tint shop as I thought that they had caused the problem, but I really believe that it was this way when I bought it...I just never had a reason to notice.

Wow, this is weird. I thought this was just a freak occurence. I guess there's a defect with it?

The one that they replaced from one of the other coupes on the lot has still held up. No outward bulging. So I'm happy.

OK, here they are. Taken with my camera phone so not such good quality, but you get the idea. The first picture shows the weather strip clearly all the way outside the window. The second picture is what is should look like (I had to use my fingers to push the seal in as a wound the window up. Hopefully getting this taken care of tomorrow.

Yup, that's exactly how mine was.

Don't expect the replacement to do much, unless maybe my techs just didn't know how to install it properly.
