Post

Hey guys,

This is my first post on the forum. I have an '09 Maxima and the auto-up feature on my passenger-side window recently stopped working. I tried to search b4 posting but could only find people with the problem of it rolling up and then coming back down a few inches. Mine just doesn't roll up at all unless I do it manually. The auto-down feature is working perfectly normal, however. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'd hate to have to bring it to the dealer for such a small issue...

Thanks in advance!

Instructions to re-initialize the Auto Up (closing) should be in your Owner's Manual (page 2-43). If after performing the procedure below and the feature is still not working, take it back to the dealership for warranty repair.

If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window more than halfway by operating the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch for more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.
