My passenger side low beam (running light HID D2R) headlight turned pink.

Looks super weird.

Time to replace bulb or could that be a problem with the wiring?

I wanted to upload a pic but donno how to.

Found the thread that talks about " how to upload pics" and when I clicked on it..it says "you are not authorized to view this topic" even though I am logged in.

Thanks!!!

Usually that's a sign that the bulb needs replacement. You will need a pair of D2S bulbs at 4300k if you want to keep it factory.

I'd like to know what ever became of this?

Although I respect the reply from you audtatious - it was given with no extra information as to why you presented that explanation, how this ends up happening, or anything else related.

I live in Tampa Florida, and this has just happened to me (last evening), so far I have not a single location in this city to buy the bulbs (besides the dealer at over a 100 a pop) and that means if I go and buy some off ebay or amazon I'm not only chancing that it's not just the bulbs, but I'm waiting for them to arrive many days AND potentially out the cost if it turns out that the new bulbs do the same thing. leaving me at the Ballast stage.

Worst of all is I do a lot of nighttime driving so taking care of this immediately is paramount.

So - OP, did this work for you? Is these anything you, or audtatious or anyone else can add to this topic?

Thank you all very much for any extra info you can give :)

Honestly, it could be either causing the pink. In most cases the problem is the bulbs and not the ballast. If you want to check if it is the bulb then simply move the pink bulb to the other headlight. If it stays pink then it's the bulb and if it isn't then it's the ballast.

If I have not said so, welcome to NICO :)
