I own a 2000 I30. My passenger side floor mat is constantly soaking wet. I have checked around the doors and sunroof but have found no evidence of faulty gaskets to allow water inside. What else can be causng this issue? Assistance greatly appreciated.

Have you been running your AC a lot? You could have a clogged drain hose (which is supposed to dump the water from running the AC on the ground outside), causing it to back up and leak on your floor. If you can, try not running the AC for a while and see if it dries it up.

Thanks for the quick response PapaSmurf2k3. I live in Florida, so I've definitely been running my AC. Your suggestion could definitely be the solution. I'm not a mechanical guru when it comes to cars, so where should I check for this AC drain hose. Is this under the hood or in the cabinet.
Thanks again.

I'm really not sure... I've never worked on an I30. I just saw the post and thought I could offer some insight. Someone on here might know though.

You could try looking it up in the factory service manual. There should be a link to one in my signature.
