Right now my amp is just "floating" under my passenger seat, I would really like to mount it to the floor, but I have read removing the seat could mess up the SRS airbag system (since there is that senser which tells if someone is sitting in the seat)

I'm guessing I just cannot unhook the wire physically, just loosen the 4 bolts holding the seat on, lean it against something, and then secure it to whatever I can find?

Let me know.

Uhh... sure.

I'm not entirely sure how it was done (because it was eventually stolen), but the compact sub I had under my passenger seat was installed and secured without removing the seat. Maybe some sort of l-bracket and bolting it to one of the seat tracks?

Look in the service guide to see how its supposed to be done. I would think that disconnecting the battery before you remove it would work, but not sure.
