folks - i replaced my front and rear brake with the brakemotive kit maybe 2 years ago. everything went fine, not squeal, no warping and stopping is pretty decent.

up until about 2 weeks ago my passenger rear break starts to squeal. i took the disc off, clean the inner parts and even spray with the anti-squeal blue rubbery compound. the squeal subdue but you can still hear it faintly. now the noise is coming back and it's just as loud as before. has anyone experienced this with their car? if so, how did you fix it other than taking it to the dealer?

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Sounds like the pad is dragging on the rotor. It could be a sticking piston or caliper slider. Check the condition of those bits.

i'm researching and other ppl who had this issue said the culprit is the backing plates.

i'm thinking that might be it. as sticking piston or caliper slider will bind the wheel more than making any noise. thanks for the tips though
