Passenger headlight took the last straw Today and would like to replace it asap. Can I go to an autozone or oreillys for a replacement or should I go OEM? Knowing OEM will cost a lot more, how much am I estimated to spend?

Thanks in advance!

Your vehicle uses D2R HID bulbs, which I believe are around $100 at Autozone, however if you can get them much cheaper on Amazon or eBay...

Be sure to do them both. Not only will color likely be different between new and old, just because they are new and old, but HID bulbs dim with age, so the one that isn't burned out is likely much dimmer than it should be. And matched headlights are a good thing.

Stock is about 4000K. That is substantially bluer than a halogen or incandescent color and the best for light IMO. Go any higher than about 5000K and you start loosing a lot of light in the usable spectrum. Plus questionable legality, but nobody gets tickets for that anymore. A FYI, the color will likely shift somewhat as they burn in, my experience has been they start out a little on the yellowish side but turn more neutral or slightly bluish in a month or two. Nothing dramatic, but noticeable if you're paying attention.

I bought this new bulb in mid 2014 from a Ebay seller for $37 shipped, it was an exact match for color (temp) as the other side, which had a dealer installed bulb, and it going strong. I liked that this one is made in Germany, while others are made in China.

Philips Germany D2R 35W 85126 (temp is 4300K)
