Passenger door jiggles.......

When I close the passenger door on my 94 240 it doesnt seem to close all the way. You can pull it and it doesnt open, but it does move you can wiggle it. The door open light stays lit unless you pull on the door and hold it, once I let go it turns back on.

It doesnt look look like there was ever any work done there before but I cant say for sure because I just bought it.

So something aint right.

hmmm, if my s13 was around i would go out and look at it right now. i dont remember if they have servicable door hinges or not. if so you can buy a set of pins and bushings for the doors and get rid of any slop. if it still happens you may have something bent from a collision. you may also want to check that the striker and latch are adjusted properly.

Are the striker and latch adjutstable? It feels like that is where it is loose not on the hinged side?

The striker is adjustable, It sounds as if your seat belt may have gotten caught in the door and drug the striker out a bit and it wont latch complely but the jinggling suggests maybe something with the latch inside the door has come apart.
