passenger door doesnt close correctly

hello all i am somewhat new to this forum...never posted just read and learned...but now i have a question

okay heres my problem:my passenger door will close but not correctly. i have to slam the door to close it or else it wont close right. this is pretty complicated to explain but it makes a rattling sound when i slam it...not that nice door closing sound. do i have to get a new lock mechanism from the junkyard?any help is appreciated

It might be the bushing/washer type things on the door-hinge, they wear out and make it not allign correctly sometimes, might wanna give those a look.

Also check the striker that the door latches on to see if the plastic bushing is broken or missing.
